This is going to be, I hope a place to practice using your second/third languages etc and hopefully to get help from some native speakers. I am going to give some links to language tutorials on the net, (see below) to hopefully spark sopme interest. The discussions of interesting/funny phenomena in languages that we had in the previous threads were quite good too, maybe we can have some more of those...also we could continue checking to what extent our languages have the same roots and other similarities. For example (this one's for Cloudy, who probably knows this), there are a few words in Russian derived from Dutch, most of them nautical terms. This is due to the fact that Czar Peter visited Holland (Zaandam, to be precise, which is the town near the place I grew up in) and learned a lot here about our shipcraft and related things.
