wMy level 11 ranger gets one attack what is up with that?

come on people. Ive never played a d&d game before this

I suppose you are equipped with a weapon where you do not have any skill points, which is really bad.
Unequip all weapons and you should see have 3/2 Attacks per round. If you have one point one the weapon you are fighting with you get 3/2 attacks, whith two points you get 2 attacks. There are also weapons which give you an extra attack. st.Schnupps |
so to sum it up, If I have no weapons equipped i shoudl Have 3/2 attacks a round, and for each proficiency I have in the weapon I am using I get an extra attack, ie four in 2 handed swords gives four attacks. am I correct?

Not exactly, whith a ranger you can get only two skill points for one weapon type anyway.
I do not know really what the numbers of attacks are you can get as a fighter, which is the only one who can use 5 points on one skill. But whith a ranger 2 are the most you can get whithout the use of magical weapons or spells/poitons. st.Schnupps |
For fighters/warriors in general, you get an extra 1/2 attack at the 7th and 13th level. So if you're at level 13, you would already get 2 attacks per round, even when you're using a weapon you're not proficient in.
Weapon Specialization has 5 levels, but apart from the fighter class and its respective kits, the ranger and paladin can only attain at most 2 stars/levels in any particular weapon - Advanced Weapon Specialization. But even so, for this particular weapon, the ranger/paladin should gain an extra 1/2 attack per round. Note that the above info is applicable to melee weapons - you'll have to refer to the manual for further details (if you haven't in the first place ). |
cant the archer kit get like four specializations in bows?
