how can i start a multiplayer without logging on to the net. ive read that you have to start a multiplayer using tcp/ip but its asking for a host name (or address) and i cant think of a good number to put into it. can you play the game (single player-shadow of the amn) with a saved multiplayer? sorry for asking too much. I use Serial, not TCP/IP.

As for the second question, yes, you can.

Copy your savegame folder from the following directory,

C:\Program Files\Black Isle\BGII - SoA\mpsave

and paste it into the following directory,

C:\Program Files\Black Isle\BGII - SoA\save

Restart the game and load it up from Singleplayer. This is how people play with more than one custom character in Singleplayer.

not to worry, it worked for me. basically, u type a player name and session name, switch to tcp/ip and create ur party. i think u save and then move the save from multiplayer folder in the BG2 directory in to the single player one. hope this helps.
