Hi, I just got the game last night and played for about 4 hours. The controls are hard at first but I'm getting the hang of it.
One question though, any idea how to get more lighting? I made the mistake of going out at night and it SO DARK I couldn't see the monsters (or anything for that matter) and it was very, very frusterating. I finally made it back to town, but how can you get daylight back? Is there any way to rest or camp somehow? I did have a torch or two but they didn't seem to help.

Its a great game, but running around when you can't see isn't very fun. Especially when you fall in a pit inside a windmill and get attacked by a giant spider...now I know how to climb down instead of leaping in!

Thanks!

Have you tried to adjust the gamma settings in your graphics options? The default is quite dark. Also, there is no camp or rest function. I use torchlight to get around at night.

Whiskas have natural night vision, so if you have one in your party click on them when you walk around for the bonus to kick in.

I was wondering about the gamma settings, I'll try that today when I play again. So, is the default night time illumination really so dark?

I do have a whiska, and I remember certain times in a fight I could suddenly see when he was fighting. I feel like a moron now....

I noticed the level 3 sun spell Illunminate will probably be good once my character learns it.

Thanks for the tips everyone!
