I got my priest the ancient lore skill and I think this may be it...but I don't know how to use it for identification. Also, how do you use the blacksmith and scout skills? Can you guys tell me of other good skills and where to get them? and hwo to use them? Thanks

For identifying or repairing items right click on the item in question. One of the options in the detailed item screen should be a question mark for identifying and/or tools for repairing.
Scout skills are used automatically as you travel around. The character with the scouting skills will say " Pickled Pie Men have been here" and pretty soon you'll probably meet up with some PPMs.

Ancient Lore is a *TRAIT*, not a skill and will not work by itself. First you get the trait, then you have to build up points in Artifacts *SKILL*.

Many traits and skills come in pairs. Ancient Lore trait is the prerequisite to Artifacts skill.

Occultist trait is the prerequisite to the Enchant skill. Cabalist is the prerequisite trait to Blessing skill. Doublestrike trait is the prerequisite to 2nd Weapon skill. And so forth.

You will find that most of the better trait/skill pairs will not show up as options in your guild until you have reached a certain guild level by doing quests. A few show up at guild level 2, more at 3, and most of them at guild level 5.

Quest, quest, quest, and you'll eventually have access to all the available ones.
