As some of you might know, you can get a quest from Neurik while staying at Beorunna's Well, involving the murder on one of the guards by an Uthgardt named Rolgan. I did manage to win the trial (which gives you the 1000 gold and 700 XP!!) but I only managed it by 'cheating'. I gave the grumpy dude (who's in the Drinking House telling you that the wife of the Uthgardt is sooo cute) some gold so he would vote innocent, and could convince the Uthgardt elder woman, and the ranger of his innocence..
Problem is; it makes me feel a little bit guilty  Is there a way to do it perfectly legal?

Another thing that I noticed was the fact that I failed to find all the wardstones in the Host Tower. I found two (!) wardstones for level 4, but none for levels 3, 5 and 7. I am pretty positive that I've bashed every chest, and searched every bookpile. Is it some sort of random routine which places the wardstones or something.

There's wardstones for all levels between, and ofetn more than one of each type - you can't have been everywhere and opened everything.

At the trial -

Talk to each of the jurors beforehand (easier if you bribe one and heal another - but not necessary). You can get a 5-0 verdict by avoiding the arguments of racism (bias) and diminished responsibility. Don't attack the jury, or make weak pleas for mercy. Simply expose the facts - the guy hated him, the gut was cheating him, the guy attacked him, and your defendant acted in self defence. Talk to everyone - it's as much what you elect not to say (out of the options provided) that is as important as what you do say.

To get a 5-0 descision:

Before the trial.
Talk to all of the witnesses and jurors and be nice to everyone. Talk to Lodar and keep buying him drinks until he tells you about how racist Griff is, and how Griff spiked the drink.

During the trial.

Lodar:
1. Ask him how Griff felt towards Rolgan. A supplement question should pop up. Sort of an Insight one. If it doesn't then you might need to raise your stats so it does.
2. Ask if it was true that Griff spiked the drink.
3. Ask if he saw who started the fight.

Don't ask the other questions.

Zed:
1. Ask if he saw who started the fight.
2. Ask if it was true that Griff spiked the drink.

Don't ask the other questions.

Vanda:
1. Ask why she sent her husband to see Griff.

Don't ask the other questions.

Call Rolgan.

Rolgan:
1. Ask what happened that night

Don't ask the other questions.

Closing argument:
1.Say that we know Griff was a violent man.
2. Say that we know Griff spiked Rolgan's drink.

Don't say anything else.

You should have now won the trial with all the jurors voting innocent.

Hope this helps."

P.S. And there are multiple wardstones out there.
