The seventies was a great era for music. Says my uncle. What's your favorite 70s or seventies style song?
Mine might be either: The Commodores- Brick House or Peaches & Herb- Shake Your Groove Thing "Undacova Funk" by Snoop Dogg is a bit newer, but still a very good 70's style song. [ 09-08-2003, 07:01 PM: Message edited by: Willard ] |
Mine is a tie between two Leonard Cohen songs : "Bird on the wire" and "The Stranger Song".

I have to be careful not to preach
I can't pretend that I can teach, And yet I've lived your future out By pounding stages like a clown. And on the dance floor broken glass, The bloody faces slowly pass, The broken seats in empty rows, It all belongs to me you know. |
Umm...how about Stairway to Heaven? Or Sweet Emotion? Or Hotel California?
Don't like disco myself, but what about any of the songs from Saturday Night Fever? Or we can throw some punk songs out there (Anarchy in the U.K., Rock and Roll High School). In other words, there were a bunch of different styles of music out there, so to round it down to ONE song is a bit much. There are a bunch of good songs out there in the 70's, and in a bunch of different genres. |
