Hello folks,

Started a druid yesterday, started him in HotU, and already lvl 17, so far, so good, but i just got the 'shapechange' spell, and everytime i cast it, i change into a red dragon, never a balor or fire giant, or whatever. What's causing this, maybe it's alignment dependent or smth (i'm neutral good).

Druids have a natural ability to change thier shape. This is a class based feat. They can change into an animal shape at level 5. As they progress in levels they can change into more powerful creatures...

It's neither dependant on alignment nor on level.
Like Polymorph and the Protection from Good/Evil spells, there is a submenu of shapes to choose from. If you drag the spell directly from your spellbook onto your quickbar you'll only see one of these options.
The other way of setting spells to the quickbar does allow you the choice.

Fires, memorize Shapechange. Then right-click on an empty quickbar field, select Spells (top right), Druid, level 7-9, and then you may have to click Next (top left) several times until you find Shapechange.
