I experiend a pretty odd bug tonight. I started a new party recently and I wanted to get daystar but its still pretty early in the game so the fight is a bit rough for me. I enganged the lich but he does his little time stop,meteor shower gate the pit fiend thing so I take off.
When I reenter I engange him but things go sour so I take off again. Now when I get out to the inn again he follows me out (as some monsters are prone to do) so I run back into the crypt and he follows me in. Now I run out of the crypt and he does not follow so I am like kewl a chance to safely heal up. Well when I reenter the crypt to finish him off there are 2 liches there! I killed both of them and got 2 corpses full of items. Weird ehh? too bad he doesn't carry the daystar on him hehe.

interesting. what did the second have on his corpse, just spells?

I would get the second corpse would have the same items as the first corpse. It's a well-known bug of monster duplication when they follow you. It was fixed in ToB patch (I think)
