Im making an evil party but i cant get a thief on my team unless i want a neutral one which i dont my main character cant be one as it would leave me with only one fighter korgan and i dont want to be a fighter/thief or any dual classed thief, my character which im planning is going to be a stalker/bard, out of the four main thief skills my mages will be able to do detect traps and knock my character will be able to pick pocket and hide in shadows and will be able to backstab thats all the major skills done except disarm traps, i was planning on having my character as a bit of a kamikazie i was going to arm him with the cloak of mirroring the drogon helm the dragon shield the boots of frosts embrace and red dragon scale armour and the ring of gaxx and an armour class of -10 to stop any arrow traps this will give me immunit to fire, cold, electricity and poison also i could give him the belt of inertial barrier to give him 50% magic resistance even i can see loads of problems with this that could be solved by making him a stalker/thief but i like the high lore the bard song and the spells i know i could play it cheesily getting jan janson on my team taking him off of my team just before i go down in reputation and getting him on my team again so he wont quit but i dont want to play like that. so if you have any suggestions on what to do or any other types of trap which i havnt insulated myself against let me know ( oh and another problem is the traps that reset themselves) sorry if this is a little long winded thanks

well you have 3 choices:

1) Become a theif yourself (or a multi class) I completed it with a fighter/theif and he kicked nearly as much ass as Korgan.... go figurehttp://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no...iles/smile.gif

2) Get Jan. He's funny, a deccent theif and a backup mage to boot. Because he's neutral he wont leave if your rep gets a little lower than 8, and being neural dosn't cause any problems within the group.

3) Start a multiplayer game and make two characters, one of whom could be a theif.

These are just my suggestions http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no...iles/smile.gif
Good Luck!

If you don't mind using CLUAConsole, you can pick up Artemis Entreri. Summon him by pressing CTRL+SPACE with your Debug Mode activated, then type in CLUAConsole:CreateCreature("ARTEMIS"); . He will probably backstab you, but when he appears, pause the game, hold your cursor over him and press CTRL+Q. You will then be able to add him to your party and he will earn XP just like everyone else. He's an awesome thief.

He's the only evil thief who can (sort of) join your party. Otherwise your best legit choice would be Jan, who happens to be the only thief who can advance his thieving skills.

Any suggestions on evil fighters and/or clerics to help round out an evil party? I haven't played one yet, but am a little discouraged by the overall lack of evil NPCs (as compared to BG1, which had a bunch of them). I never used CTRL+Q either (try to stay away from cheating, but oh why not? http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no...iles/smile.gif ), so does it give them a picture and voice of their own, or can you assign one to them?

BTW, ecob16, how are you intending to make an evil Stalker/Bard anyway?

You got plenty of options for this.

Evil fighter? One man for the job - Korgan.

Evil cleric? Happens to be (in my opinion) the best cleric in the game - Viconia.

Evil wizard? The dude - Edwin.
