Grist for the mill--Climate Change Shenanigans

Go here..http://blogs.zdnet.com/green/?p=8815&tag=nl.e539

The CC crowd have been caught *enhancing* their data. I'm not qualified to judge on whether GW/CC is real or not. All I know is I live in FL, and don't particularly want to move. Then again,,,,I could just say F***-it...and let the grandkids worry about it!

I have an ethical problem forming an opinion from stolen data like this. It is after all stolen.

I'm not qualified either, Bane of the Sylves, but it seems reasonable to conclude that the issue of Climate Change is more complex than a database of emails.

Funny how the right-wing news outlets all say the worst about this, is that the type of data "enhancing" we are talking about?

I love how the CC crowd TOTALLY disregards solar activity and it's effect on the climate (as detailed in the stolen data).

And Chewie, if the stolen data supported your side of the argument, you'd have no problem supporting what it revealed, same thing with the "right wing nut jobs" It supports their argument, so they support the stolen info.

Realistically, we'll have to wait at least 50+ years to see if ANY of it is real. In the meantime, why don't they work harder on cleaning up smog. It'd be nice if you could visit California anywhere south of Sacramento and NOT see/smell/taste the air.

I know around Boise they have strict regulations, you can't have wood burning stoves/pellet stoves/etc because of the damage it causes to air quality.

This personal insult is wrong. BTW how is this known about me with such certainty from an anonymous post on the internet? The answer is: this is simply unknowable by you and is evidence of very flawed thinking.

Goodbye!

You seem to be taking everything anyone says to you as a "personal insult" I'm personally insulted by this attitude. Grow a thicker skin.

GW/CC end of life as we know it is all BS and Poetry, how do I know? Because I never have any good luck. Communisim, M.A.D., The new Ice Age that was preached in the early 70's, The Japanesse and Germans buying up the USA of the 80's, Colestoral, Sacren, DDT, 3 Mile Island, Ozone hole,Y2K, Al Queda have all let me down... as will swine flu, a nuclear Iran, nuclear North Korea, the Mayan's 2012, Nostradumus, and even the foolish we have to go deeper in debt to get out of debt crowd. All have failed and will fail. :P

Come on folks! The climate has been changing for billions of years before man got here and will continue to do so long after he's wiped himself out.

While Greenland and the Poles melted and whole mountain ranges went bald, they argued over stolen private emails and acted indiffferent.... That won't be my epitaph!

Those stolen emails amount to mostly HOT air, with some embaressment on top.

According to that report they contain nothing worst than the fact they were stolen. The obvious facts about global warming remain the same.

The question you have to ask yourself is why would people all over the world, in all countries, in different universities and institutions, all spontaneously decide to start a conspiracy about climate change and then dedicate their life to proving it true?

We have two choices. Either there are no climate changes due to human activity and all this is a successful fraud involving hundred of thousands of people. OR, humans do have an effect on global warming.

Which of these two choices is more rational?

And also, what purpose would a conspiracy theory like this serve? Even if it was one, it would still mean cleaner skies, less asthma, cleaner waters etc. Would certainly help as far as eye candy of our planet is concerned. My theory is that lobbyists are responsible for enetertaining this notion that it is not real. Well, first it wasn't real - then they conceded it was real but that we're not responsible for it at all. It's hard to bash something that science has unanimously agreed upon.
