Surfing the internet for a specific lizard image for my window awning cutouts I came across this page of Southwest & Mexican Recipes and thought they were to great not to be able to pass along to people who might want to dabble in a little southwest cooking.
I hope it is OK to post this link...if it disappears we'll know otherwise LOL!

Good News is the food looks GREAT! The bad news is that If I ate it, I would be in Mucho Pain (bad stomach http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...iles/frown.gif) So I will pass the site on to my Ulcerless friends who like spicy food. http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...iles/smile.gif

Gargoyle,
Why can't you cook? I can't bake~no oven in he house! http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...miles/wink.gif

BK, I understand about your stomach and I feel for you! http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...iles/frown.gif I love this kind of stuff but usually have to make it myself so that it will be milder and easier on my own bad stomach.

Hugs!

Moni, thanks. The recipes look great. I just love Mexican food. Have to have margaritas to go with it though.

I would highly recommend investing in a Betty Crocker Cookbook then!
I got one as a gift when I was 17 even though I had been cooking and baking since I was 7. It was well used tweenty years later and my son insisted he be allowed to keep it when he turned 18. The recipes are simple, easy to read and follow and they all taste good!

I am an excellent cook and I have Betty to thank for teaching me!

I second this. Try to find either an original Betty Crocker's Picture Cookbook, or the new, reprinted version (which comes in a handy looseleaf format). It has a red and white cover. This is the best cookbook for beginners that I have found. It even has pictures to show you how things should look.

Even after years of cooking, I still refer to mine when I want to learn how to do something new.
