Haer Dalis is rubbish. (how cum his wife has a differant surname to him?) He has crappy mage spells http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...iles/flipa.gif and he has a face like http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...les/img195.gif my ass. Anyway he goes into offensive spin and still picks up tons of damage. As soon as he weres armour he loses mage spells, and even when he has them hes rubbish. Help me.
Should I get Anomen? I also want The guy in the sewer system. I heard you get quite a few exp for just talking to his wife. I have Edwin Minsc Jaheria and haer Dalis. Who should i get rid off? When I get rid of people where will Imoen go? I would like many replies please.

if you got the melodic chain from his quest, he can use that and still cast spells. imoen waits in the copper coronet

Apparently Anomen is good, that's if you can put up with his ANNOYING whining, me personally can not.

Anomen is indeed a whiner but he quiets down after a few long chapters. Put Crom Faeyr in his hands and he is outstanding.

My Anomen rocks with the Skullcrusher(Mace +3 that you get from the Gnome lord) and I can only wonder how well he would perform with with Crom. Anomen would be a decent addition to any non-evil party.


Man, annoying is still the best excuse you guys have for not using Anomen?

I would agree with you that Haer sux. He can, as someone stated cast spells
while wearing armor but he is a poor excuse for a bard. Bards need two things
a kick ass bard song and a high lore rate. Haer lacks and both making him no use.
What new char you want depends on what you need. I would suggest a cleric it sounds like you need one. In my opinion Viconia totally kicks Anomens ass. But then she is evil, allthough you have Edwin in your party so I bet that wouldn´t be a problem. Others are Keldorn, Mazzy (she is strong with the bow) and my personal favourite Korgahn. Just choose but get rid of Haer.
And another pointer: Don´t waste your time on Imoen. I think she is the most boring character in all of BG2, and she´s rather lame too. No NPC-related quests either (if I´m not mistaken?).

Anomen is better than Viconia for two reasons -strength, he can carry far more without magical enhancement, and the fact he is a dual-class fighter giving a far better thaco. You can put girdles of giant stength on either one but Anomens thaco makes him better either way. As for spells he doesnt get as many as Viconia but makes up for it in melee power. He still gets a lot of spells anyway

But Anomen is still a pussycat compared to the powers of Keldorn, Minsc
or Korgahn. Viconia is a better choice if you have any of these in the party
since, like you mentioned get more spells. And, she is a very compitent
combatant when you equip the girdle of Frost Giant Strength.
And if you like to roleplay as such, wouldn´t you rather pick Viconia than Anomen? She´s hot! And Anomen complains too much.

Mage spells, (stoneskin, fireshield, mirror image)...
With the melodic chain...
Dual-wielding short swords... could grab enemy attacks with the defensive spin...
Purely awesome!
Best NPC in my party!

Go Anomen... true he is an idiot with a MAJOR attitude problem, but with the help of his impressive fighting skills and the ability to turn down the volume on my speakers he becomes one of (if not your best) NPC. A lot of people prefer Vic, however I would erge you to stick with Anomen in the long run he's the more usefull of the two (plus if your playing good and you pass his test he will get a wisdom increase http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...es/biggrin.gif)
