since we are on topics of webpages.. can someone tell me a good site uploader program or a free webpage hosting that lets you transfer multiple files WITHOUT asking you to transfer it one by one. or a frontpage compatible uploading site.

i have tried with lycos.co.uk and i have made a website using frontpage. tried uploading it but woiuld not work. (although they said they can) sigh :(

Harks, try WS FTP.

By the way, during the installation, they will ask you some pretty queer questions. http://www.tintdude.com/icon/gay.gif The trick is to make it sound like you're using the program solely for educational purposes, that way, they'll let you use the software no problem.

I use SmartFTP with Lycos and it works ok. You could try that if that other program doesn't work. You can find it at www.smartftp.com

awww nuts.. its not the program at all ( i think) thanks for the link for that philip. anyway, the problem with me right now is that for some darn reason my lycos.co.uk account just wont accept my password and login

here is the step by step thing i did (using smartftp)

- typed in ftp.members.lycos.co.uk for the server
- login - harkoliar
- password- (Secret)

which i already copied and pasted from my lycos account.. nothing.. am i doing something wrong here?

edit: tried haveing the username(login) as my website address (as instructed in the help manual) and still not working

I'm not sure if this would be correct, but maybe your ftp is wrong, cause mine doesn't have the co part in it, so for me: ftp.members.lycos.nl . You can find it in your account page (though I assume you already had that)

Have you set the program to use port 21, next to your login? And have you unchecked the anonimous option?
