All Hakpaks in 3 files now - Easy to Download!

I have packed up all the Massive hakpak files, along with all the patches up to v1.3 (current patch) as well as the Arnaden hakpak in three files that are around 300MB each. This is all you will need to play EFU (except for CEP, which is a separate download, which most players have already).

http://www.ironworksforum.com/efu/download.shtml

I also updated the readme file, and added some back history of EFU:
http://www.ironworksforum.com/efu/do...IVE_README.txt

This will make it easier for people to snag the files, and get into the game. Be sure to read the text file that comes with the files. I tells you exactly how and where to put each and every file. Some files go in the MUSIC dir, and one goes into the TLK dir.

I plan on releasing another small patch in a Month maybe. Simply to fix a few things, mainly bugs we found, and tileset door issues. Stuff like that. I'm focused now on MAKING levels in the toolset now.

Enjoy!

If you scroll through this, you will find every pertinent CEP file needed for EfU, and anywhere else you may want to play. I don't remember which version of CEP Z has, but if you get the latest 1.xx that isn't just 1.68, as it was a hotfix, you should be good.

Could we get a temporary sticky for this? I lost 4 hours tonight having to hunt this up...

T-D-C 03-30-2007 03:12 AM

Sticky request granted.

Ziroc 03-30-2007 03:31 AM

If you check the EFU download page, theres a link to the CEP files. It lists all the stuff needed I think. (toward the bottom of the page)

Thanks... :D I had to log out of EfU at the entrance to lvl 9 as I had a new player on the phone, and he couldn't find the CEP stuff. I found it in like five minutes, but it had taken me 4 hours to get there...I'll get that back, but I figured this was the easy way to keep it from happening again, either to me, or somebody else. I had the link already copied to the clipboard, may as well zap it in. I didn't know about the link at the bottom of the EfU page...*faints*...

I realize the .hak files are "massive" (what is it with you guys and size, anyhow?), but please keep in mind that there are people who are still afflicted with dial-up and other slower-than-lightspeed connections. We have wireless broadband and 300mb still takes about 2 hours to download.

robertthebard 03-30-2007 10:26 AM

Yikes, I talked a guy through all the CEP files, twice, all the EFU haks, and then repaired his install in 2 hours.

the links to download the hakpacks dont work for me ?

Re: All Hakpaks in 3 files now - easier to download!

Wow. Now that burns me. I JUST got a 'deletion notice' from Filefront a week ago saying 'click here' if you don't want your files to expire. I did, and removed them from their 'deletion queue'. Guess THAT doesn't work.. asses.

Re-uploading now--nearly done. MAN, I wish I had someone that could mirror these, and not rely on damned corporate losers like filefront.
Check the Downloads page in about 20 mins--I'll update the page with the new URLs--as they will be new filefront URLS.

Have you tried using MegaUpload, RapidShare, or other similarly funcitioned sources?

http://www.RapidShare.com
http://www.eSnips.com
http://www.box.net
http://www.4Shared.com
http://www.MegaUpload.com
http://www.SnapDrive.net
http://www.aGigForFiles.com
http://www.MegaPhile.com
http://www.MediaMax.com

you could easily spread out links between two or three of these various services in order to maximize download potential.

It shows a link for the CEP but which version should we load? Version 2.0 seems sensible but is there any conflict issues?

Re: All Hakpaks in 3 files now - Easy to Download!

I downloaded the latest CEP 2.1 I think and it was missing a few files when I tried to log in. I write them here when I find the paper I wrote them down on. Found them on a older version of cep, Cep V 1.52. Drop me a line if I don't do this soon...

Ziroc 10-15-2008 11:00 PM

Re: All Hakpaks in 3 files now - Easy to Download!

Hmm.. EFU runs on CEP v1.52 and my 3 part 'Massive v1.03' hakpak set. Is it missing a .tlk file? I swear its in there...

Unglaublich Verwustung 10-16-2008 11:18 AM

Re: All Hakpaks in 3 files now - Easy to Download!

Provide the list of missing files and we can tell you where to find it, Z's 'massives' are complete as I have done a re-install recently with no problem. It's normally the CEP files which cause this problem.

Sir Mohawk 10-17-2008 10:37 PM

Re: All Hakpaks in 3 files now - Easy to Download!

Still cant find the list but maybe it was the latest CEP that goofed it up, but I do have it working... TY for the reply..

Re: All Hakpaks in 3 files now - Easy to Download!

Found the list.

1. Under Suppurt/Faq it says: Yes, Escape from Undermountain (EFU) requires not only our hakpaks, but also the Community Expansion Pack, or CEP for short. EFU requires version CEP 1.51 or higher to play EFU.

2. So I downlaoded the latest CEP after installing all the other required massive files.

3. After installing latest CEP 2.1 http://nwvault.ign.com/?dir=cep/downloads

4. And tried to load the game it gave me this message

5. Needs CEP2da
CEPTEXTURE.HAK
CEPPORTRAIT
CEPPLACE
CEPCREATURE
CEPBASEITEM
CEPANATOMY
CEP1PATCH

4. My fix was to download and install CEP Version 1.52 patch and pick thoose files out and install them in the right places and it then worked. Fairly sure that was the sequence of events but Duran had given me many ales on the house so the events maybe blurred.

5. All is well now :) Hope this might clear things up or make them foggier :)

Re: All Hakpaks in 3 files now - Easy to Download!

All makes sense, especially the bit about the beer. The problem is that CEP 2.1 assumes (rashly) that you already have the earlier hakpaks. Glad all is fixed and the beer may flow.

The filefront links are broken. Can you check it out and let us know when they are back. I did a search for "massive" in the mod section and the v103 dir was empty.

http://browse.files.filefront.com/Ne...owsefiles.html

Any chance you will be updated to CEP 2.2 ?

Thanks

Filefront sucks ass. This is like the 9th time I've uploaded them to their site. They keep them for a bit, then delete them.. idiots.. But it's all I have until I get the time to upload them to IGN.

I'm re-uploading them to Filefront for now--will take a few hrs as their upload thing is slow as a slug.. I'll update the EFU download page as soon as they are live on filefront.

BTW, 98% of everything in CEP 2.2 is IN Massive--plus like 500% more--and exclusive placeables, monsters, items etc I made. I don't know if I'll change all the 2DA's as its a pain, and took a year to make massive, so no plans, unless I find its easy to do. :)

BTW, thank you for the heads up on the files! They must have done it in the last few days.. grrrrr

Re: All Hakpaks in 3 files now - Easy to Download!

Ok... So if Filefront sucks a$$ why not put your haks on the NWN Vault? No expiration and they certainly take files of your size? Alt. you can link to fileplanet heck they are all owned by IGN.

I hear you about the 2da's. Hey, heads up Michael Darkangle just made a new set editor the is updated with all the path nodes. You can get it at his site Brotherhood of the Realm or links from www.rpgmodding.com. I still have your login in our db.

Thought my Son and I would head for Undermountain this Christmas :)

Re: All Hakpaks in 3 files now - Easy to Download!

Yeah, I'm going ahead and uploading them to NWN Vault--I still have the FTP info he emailed me.. just wanted to wait for the PR screens and info ready before I did it, but no biggie.. I'll be doing an article on the Massive hak with NWN Vault soon, just haven't had time, as ya know.. Real life stuff.. :) But I'm back at it!

Check out the Christmas stuff in EFU! I decked out the Tavern and stuff--gonna have some Holiday quests and such... BTW, there is NO reindeer in NWN! (At least, I didn't see one!) :) Will add that to my next patch coming up--which is soon, and will add the first fully created tileset by myself--based off of Eye of the Beholder 1's wall designs. (I'll be adding MANY more varations though...but the 'look and feel' will remain exact.) Kind of an ole to the game.. and the Waterdeep Sewers ARE part of Undermountain, eh? :D

All three are now back online! Will post the NWN Vault URL's as soon as they are up!

The link to the portrait pack is broken. :(

While gettting the hakpacks for my laptop I had no trouble with the massive and cep hackpacks. The portrait pack gives the following error:

I havent tried it yet, but I'm going to try and install this, this weekend. Does it work with Win7 32/64? Had to upgrade my system due to a catastrophic failure and got the new OS so I was just wondering.
