On the load screens it talks about a game allowing you to import youre bgate character, when will this be released?

As far as I know he game that will let you import your character from ToB is Neverwiter Nights.

But you lose everything except for your stats, including your XP.

if your stats are too high, then you will have them "FIXED" in NWN!!! that sux.

Well, I did hear rumours about BG3 a while ago, which was to be about a new character/party in the FR (not a child of Bhaal) and possibly in 3D.
But it's been awefully quiet since then...

Bioware are suing publishers Interplay
so its possible there will be no future BG for a long time.......

Runours about BG3? do u mean the ones chala (the troll) started a few days back? or are there some other ones? BG3 is always a favorite topic for sepculation, but it just aint gonna happen.

first, the infinity engine is now obsolete - Bioware have stated there not producing anything more under it. this also means nothing more based on the 2E rules. the aurora engine (NWN) will support all future RPGs.

second - apparently after BG2:ToB you are effectively the Lord of Murder, which makes it a bit hard to continue the plot. what quests would you set the lord of murder?

and im getting increaingly annoyed with the scope of importing a BG char into NWN, you seem to lose everything that makes you you, except you stats and name, and even then you lose any "illegal" stats. still, something called "NeverKeeper" or similar will doubtless appear soon enough and enable us to get them back. of course that would be impossible for multiplay hosted on official servers.

Actually, the rumours came from a relatively reliable games magazine (not doing the free advertising just yet [img]smile.gif[/img] ) and they did indeed say you were not going to continue with your old character but that you'll get a fresh start with a non-bhaalspawn. But you could also just get Dungeon Siege [img]tongue.gif[/img]
