i'm just about to enter underdark on my first run through the game - i've read a little about what's ahead in bg 2 and it sounds a bit different from what i've done before - does the game go a bit downhill from this point or is it still good?

It is still very good.
You have alot of great stuff to see forward to. I am not going to mention anything, though, cause that is just going to ruin your fun, and then it will go downhill.

see ya!

downhill would be if the game stayed exactly the same.

the game does go linear from a certain point, but thats to be expected. although that point is a lot later than some people think..

it is strang tho, people are on at you to hurry and kill irenicus b4 he basically wipes out all of faerun, yet you can still go and catch up on those side-quests.

this game has neve gone down hill, so you don know hat your talking about

gee Tyronius, that's a real mature take on my question - how dare i wonder if the more set route ahead might be turn for the worse.
