I am thinking of trying 6 warriors then taking them all up to Barbarian in the wilds before the Crypt if I can get the money and the ability points with the rolls, then getting them to specialise in their longer term roles. I am a bit sick of this doing the same quest over and over so have the idea of doing it once for multiple characters (if it works). Those of you that have progressed in the game what do you think of this as a concept ? What are the besr characters, which ones to avoid ? How do you get to zenmaster ?

Cheers !

Sounds fine. The fun part of RPG is trying things like that. How about an all wizard party? Could be fun. My basic party in any RPG is always 2 warriors, 1 rogue, 1 priest and 2 wizards, when there are 6 slots to fill. But once I finish the game, I like to go back and do what you're doing, try different combos. Have fun!

I was thinking of trying to finish the game as a solo monk/zen master when I'm done with my crew. I am also considering adding either a thief which is pretty indespesible in this game or a wizard of some sort. Anyways, a maximum of 2 charaters would be pretty damn hard but lots of fun. The main reason for needing a wizard is to kill those damn mantraps that keep poping up. If it wasn't for them I think I could solo the game. Any suggestions????

Peace...

What are the man-traps ? I havent come across them (yet) - why does one need a wizard for them ?

How/when does one become zen master ?

I am restarting for the fourth time and would like to plan my party !

The Amazoni Mantraps are tough. They are a one time spawn in the fields near Shurugeon castle, but you will meet more later in other forms. You can run up to them and possibly get lucky and not get toasted but the best way I found to kill them is to target them from afar and cast Burning haze on the lead one. This will not only kill them in 2 spells but it also immobilizes them so they can't attack you (may not work if you don't have your game speed to slowest, I dunno) If you really want to get fancy you can lure them into the moat at Shurugeon and they will get stuck by the drawbridge and will be unable to attack you. wood
