I had about 15-20 mana pots, 5 life pots, 3 death dome scrolls, and the time orb.

I put a mana pot in the F5, quick reference, spot on my belt, a life pot in F6, the Time Orb in F7, and a death dome scroll in F8.

Right before I talked to Drakk, I hit my lvl 5 concentrate skill and my lvl 1 berserk. Then set my spell to healing...right click.

Skip the video (which, by now, you probably do anyway) and click on him to attack him. Don't let go of your left click.

Have your other hand on the F5-F8 keys and just watch your life. After you take 1 or 2 hits use your healing spell and hit F5 (mana pot) right after. Keep doing this until his life is almost to half. Then hit the Time Orb to stop his regerating and keep wailing on him.

At any point in time you can use the death dome scrolls. I ended up only using 1 because there's so much else going on it's hard to concentrate on everything.

Heal early and often...remember, this is the last guy in the game (so to speak) don't hold back. If I was lucky I could take 2 hits from him, but the damn Wyverns are there to finish the little stuff, so don't take any chances.

This method worked for me pretty well, you just have to get the timing down right with your fingers. When I killed him the whole fight only lasted about 45 sec, so you have to think quick.

Good luck, and remember, this was only MY method of beating him. Yours could be completely different. Don't forget to check my stats too, just to compare.

Your welcome,

DT

Nice tactics :D

If you have the reflectiion spell it can help as well

Happy hunting

I have Reflection, but since it only lasts for 4-5 seconds, I figured it'd be kinda pointless.

Are you playing with only one character or two? I'm finding it hard to keep track of both of my characters when fighting Draak, so i just restarted on the next difficulty level ;)

How you fight Draak depends on the character class you are playing...

Spell note (v1.05b) - If you lower the white bar from the top of your mana pool, certain spells will automatically invoke when needed - like healing, antidote, etc. This will work until your mana falls below the white bar (called you mana reserve).

Warrior/Monk - get your AC & life as high as possible, use concentration (prayer), berserker, absorbtion, and reflections. Get him in the doorway so the Wyvrn's are trapped. Hack until half life, invoke orb, hack until dead.

Thief/Assasin: Use a ranged weapon - bow or axe. Use berserker and reflections... hack as above

Magi: Use berserker and reflections - hit draak with magic bomb or thunder. You may try hitting him several times with forgetfulness - then you can use wall or fire, poison cloud, and invocation. Using wall of fire, even though Draak is immune to it, still force Draak to 'recover' from the hit, thus slowing his attack.

In all cases, it never hurts to have about 15 red and blue potions...

FYI

Darius Thorne 12-14-2001 03:11 PM

I only use 1 char. My warrior. Also, when I beat him I was still using v1.0.

If this make a difference to ya.
