Does anyone else find it very annoying that you cant use certain combinations of items on charcters because ' other magical items are already equipped' (or something). ne ideas on how to remove this annoyance anyone?

Dramnek_Ulk 06-05-2001 03:47 PM

You can use shadowkeeper to equip them by placeing them where you want.

Ooooh! Ooooh! An elf! Are you a Bladesinger? Can you wield two weapons at the same time? Can you dodge Fireballs and sleep upside-down in trees? Ooooh! Ooooh! Tell me you can

Grrrr. GRRRRR. NO! NO! NO! NOOOOOO! Why does everyone keep asking me that!? Answer me, Corellon... why do I always have to get the idiots?

Yeah? I'm an idiot? Well... you're a little pointy-eared tree-hugger! Elfy!. Ha! Yeah! How do you like THAT, Mister Elfy Elf-Face? Farewell... elfy.

It prevents the game from getting unbalanced.

Those who watch their backs meet death from the front- Dreamer128 paladin of the order of the holy flame.

So how many 'conflicting' items are you allowed per character?

Kerlyssa 06-05-2001 07:55 PM

Unbalanced, hah! Notice that poerful items like ring of Gaax and Red Dragon Scale aren't considered magical items? Neither is cloak of Balduran of cloak of reflection...yet you can't wear a plus 1 ring with plus 1 leather.

The difference is in the way that they are crafted. The only items that I've ever seen that conflict with each other are Armor that has been magically enhanced and rings, cloaks, amulets that do the same thing. Items like Shadowdragon (or RedDragon) Armor gets thier bonuses from the materials and craftsmanship not enchantments, thats why they dont conflict with rings etc...

Shadowdragon Armor rocks! AC 0 for non-enchanted Leather = AC -5 Archer

Is there any other way apart from using shadow keeper to do it, like some kind of cheat or something ?

Leagle 06-06-2001 01:31 PM

The shadow scale is considered magical.
