Just a query. I sometimes find that when I'm thinking of a certain word or phrase, when I go to write it down I might mix the letters of a word up, or replace a word with another completely random one.

? I suffer from that sometimes, but in my case, it is a case of missing letters. So when I type a word, I might miss out a letter(or words even).

This is very bad sometimes, because the entire meaning of the sentence can change. So instead of saying,

"I don't think it's bad."

I type,

"I think it's bad."

You have no idea how many faux pas I have had in mIRC because of this problem. :D

There are a whole range of criteria for diagnosis of dyslexia, but it's not an exact science - more a sort of 'if you can tick yes to 7 out of the 20 following questions you may be dyslexic'.

The only way to find out is to get yourself tested by a specialist.

I don't know what part of the world you are from, but here in the UK you would not be entitled to anything unless diagnosed professionally.

People typically associate dyslexia with an inability to spell and that is often one of the main ways that dyslexia presents, but you can (like me) be dyslexic and have good spelling. Other indicators can be poor map reading and interpretation skills but good spatial awareness, poor organisational skills, difficulty interpreting instructions, poor memory, problems with sentence structure, and left/right confusion (not getting left and right muddled up, but a sensory confusion - hearing a noise to your right even though it's coming from your left that sort of thing).

Some times when i'm writing stuff for english class I will write the last letter of the word i'm thinking of first.

I have dyslexia. There are times where I see things one way and my brain interprets them in a different way. The letters p, d, b, and q always give me trouble. My mind thinks "trouble" and my fingers think they're typing "trouble", but for some reason "trodule" comes up, and my brain thinks it's perfectly okay that way. I also play Dance Dance Revolution, which involves hitting correct steps on a foot control pad, and I'm always doing steps backward, like a right-down-right combination instead of a left-up-left one. My eyes see it one way, my brain interprets the information differently, but somehow, both ways are correct according to my mind. Mind-blowing, isn't it.
