I'm not sure. I know what you're talking about though. I've had experiences in BG1 where my character has gone unconcious, and would not die from continual physical damage.
yeah, you can do that in bg1 and get exp, i think
Now that I think of it, I do think you can knock enemies unconcious.
But, no you can't get experience for knocking an opponent unconcious. One rule in 3rd edition, though, states that if you make an opponent flee from battle, you get experience. But I guess, maybe, they are sticking to 2nd edition rules on that one..
you can pummel an enemy into unconsciousness, but you have to damage them down to their last 10%. however... http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...miles/wink.gif not all of that damage has to be with your fists. let's say the enemy has 50hp; you can stab him with your short sword till he's around 10hp, then punch him to get him below 5hp and lights out.
otoh, i can't think of any reason to not kill an enemy... |
thanks, no, i just feel like pummeling nasty, and cranky people that you will lose reputation from if you kill them, besides its fn somtimes, hehe
Im going to pummel people in their homes, cause i have an evil aligned pc
