It is the third wheel set, which may well be under the coal part of a tank loco, but on an express one with a tender, then these wheels are under the cab. Interesting point, at what point does specific knowledge becomegeneral knowledge, most people would consider sports and soap opera to be general knowledge, but my sporting knowledge is restricted, and I do't on principal watch soaps, so its not my general knowledge, whereas historial warfare and maritime issues are.
