Cloudy's Cafe

Come in, be welcome, be comfortable, be yourself

Welcome to Cloudy's Cafe, a place to have a cup of coffee or a good
darjeeling and the finest in conversation and camaraderie.

The proprietor asks that you follow a few simple guidelines:

this is a real conversation zone, not a role-play zone

* no flaming; if you disagree with a viewpoint expressed by any patron, please do so in a civil manner

* any topic is fair game, but keep posts to the standards that Ziroc has set for the entire forum, please (ie: foul language is not appropriate and things should be suitable for all audiences)
-a side note from Cloudy: I see this as a place for those short
conversations about a new baby or the latest soccer fiasco, not for things that are big enough to warrant their own threads, by all means give those things the space they need and post separately!

* Please, no one word or smiley posts (Ziroc has declared them 'real spam' and the proprietor doesn't want the reputuation of "good spam" to suffer!)

* do feel free to be serious or silly and enjoy the company of others while you are here. By all means POST if you have something to say, even to start another topic , we can handle multiple chats, we're a CAFE!!! But be courteous and don't disrupt a conversation just to disrupt it.

Come on in! The bar is stocked with coffees, teas, juices and waters from around theworld. And purple napkins, of course!

The lighting is low, the golden oak counters and tables glow with inviting warmth. Near the window, the lighting is brighter, as comfy, plush leather armchairs wait for those who'd like to read a book while relaxing to music or just lazily watch the world go by.

Hi Amber, well I don't always do the cafe thing, but I'm in the mood right now.
Off to the estate agent (I think you call it something different in the US?) tomorrow. So anxiously anticipating a high valuation on my flat (LOL! Apartment!).

Legolas 01-09-2002 12:27 PM

Ooh! Almost my second first post

I'm a lot faster than that stupid half-wit Anomen, that's for sure.
But unfortunately not as swift as Epona :(

Hey, when I want to, I can move pretty quick ;)

Cloudbringer 01-09-2002 12:35 PM

Hi Epona! LOL.. well whatever the reason, I'm pleased to see you here.. Assesment of the flat, huh? well I sure hope it sells for a good price! Let us know how you do..... oooh.. does this mean people are gonna be traipsing through your house at all hours to 'look' at it in case they may buy? Ugh.. don't envy anyone that whole thing.. but maybe you can sell quickly!

Heya Legolas, good try! TEEHEE!

Did I mention in two weeks I'm summoned to jury duty? ick.. but I do it because it's my civic duty. If the parking were better I'd not complain too loudly!

Cloudy

Epona 01-09-2002 12:40 PM

Good luck with the jury duty, I would hate to do that but there's no way out of it. They wouldn't call me anyway I don't think, I'm a known subversive with an MI6 file.... (all because I go on a few demonstrations!)

Yep, I get the full 'traipsing' thing going on - that's a bit of a nuisance. I will have to keep tidy, and it will certainly limit the time I spend lounging about in my pjs.

Epona 01-09-2002 01:19 PM

I'm heading off now, probably won't be around until Friday (nice day off work to do my flat selling stuff!)
See ya!

Hi all, flat selling sound's fun, My Dad used to sell Realestate. So I know what it's like being on both sides of the coin.
Good luck and may it fetch a handsome price

Thanks Elif, it is a bad circumstance that means I have to sell, but I hated the place anyway so am pleased to be selling.
I know that moving house is supposed to be one of the most stressful events, but I actually enjoy moving - I get bored in the same place for too long and find I have no inspiration for new internal decorating schemes etc. after a while.
