Hey Klorox, my advice would be to make friends with someone from Staples in the US. We have another discount day coming up and we can extend it to friends. wink wink!

Feel like sending me something? I'll be your friend! :D

BTW, I have a new computer-esque gaming question: If I get a computer with Windows XP OS, and am currently on 98, will there be a problem with my games? I'm speaking about Baldur's Gate II specifically.

<font color=skyblue>I say build your own like some of these guys have offered. Mine is home built. You mentioned tech support being a concern of your's?

Forget the worry! You're a member of IronWorks, the #1 free tech support forum for gamers! And if we don't know the answer, we provide links to other free people that do.

My old computer is 4.5ish years old 866mHz with 448ram. It still runs great today!

I'll ask if I can give the discount to someone in the US. There will be an extra 20% off all discontinued computers and notebooks. If you're going to build your own then there's big discounts on Discontinued keyboard/mice, video/sound cards, speakers, webcams, networking and more, all 50% off! It just depends on what the store has in stock.

This comes with caveats, however. Despite being promised that a tech would come within 24-48 hours to fix any problems when he was sold his laptop, my brother had to wait more than a week for someone to come when he had problems. Then they refused to try to fix the problem, even though my brother knew exactly what was wrong and all they needed to do was replace a part, unless windows XP was installed and Linux uninstalled. There was a standoff for many days before they finally agreed to fix it properly. I'm sure this is not a normal experience, but just don't be surprised if the service guarantees aren't quite what they were guaranteed to be.
