I can't figure out how to get past the metal dragon in the cave mouth. I can't seem to run past him. How do I disable it.

You need to get the Stout King to make you dragon armor (and then have the character wearing that lead the party when you next visit the Bronze Dragon).

I think I entered Dragon Spire before I did the Stout Mines so I got royally fried. It's not like the solution is obvious!
