Every time I open a sound file in a program else than Winamp 3, the pitch changes in the first three seconds (usually lower). This happens in Winamp, Realplayer and probably other programs as well. This is really bugging me, so I was wondering if you guys knew a solution to this 'problem'.

My sound card is a SoundBlaster Live! (and I plan to get an Audigy anyday soon, because frankly speaking this one is causing too much issues)

Sounds like its trying to start playing the MP3 before it has it buffered. Try freeing up some system resources. More RAM might help. A defrag could possibly help, I doubt it though.
