Have you heard about this program, konfabulator?
My dad just showed me it, and its well cool!
It was made for MAC, but a Windows version has come out.
It lets you run a lot of widgets, 99.9% of which take up next to no memory, for every use. You can have clocks, calanders, to do lists, even games.

Also you can set the priority of the widget, so it is only viewable when pressing the F8 key, or its always on top, or always on your desktop etc.

If you haven't heard of it, I'd suggest getting it at here

If you have already got it, what widgets are you using, and are there any you reccomend?

Ahhh I love widgets. They're an essential part of my two favourite drinks, Guinnes and John Smiths. But why a computer would need one I have no idea....

You've never lived mate, All widget related drinks seem to kick arse over lager.

Try them.

Ivelliis 11-10-2004 03:32 PM

The mutter was because the age to legally drink is too high ;)
What is it in UK, 16 or 18?

Beaumanoir 11-10-2004 04:31 PM

18. Which I am indeed still below.

But still, Its only the age limit in Pubs and Taverns. In restaurants its 16 and in private it's 6 (I think).

So where are you from then? Location says North East England!

16 and over here... Oh yeah

Cheers!

What's a non-drink related widget (i.e in computer terms :D ) ?

Binky looks 18. So I dont care to be honest :D Heh. I thought in most places where it was 16 it was still 18 for spirits.

</font>
True.

You can buy yer basics, I.E. your lager and your vodka/malibu/archers/J.D/Rum mixes at 16 and over.

BUT the hard stuff like the Ignition/Aftershock.../Irish Purteen ( :D ) shots and the offlimits unless you wanna start singing in the streets stuff are SUPPOSED to be for 18 and over. But come happy hour, the barmaid/man tends to overlook the fact that you're 17 going on 18!

The laws in Gib are just to keep the youngin's (10-15) from getting their grubby little hands on the stuff really. :D
