I am playing SOA -> TOB and have just started chapter 6 (SOA). I opened my laptop bag after a roadtrip and found my TOB expansion disk cracked :( I guess that's what I get for cramming that thing in the coach class overhead bin a bit too hard...

Is there a way I can continue my game with my SOA disk in the drive or am I just SOL? I just ordered a new TOB package from EBAY, but I wanna play now!!!!

I am assuming that the answer is a resounding NO, but I thought someone might have a workaround until I receive my new TOB package.

Thanks!!

You could try a no-CD crack. I mean it's totally adjustable in your case. I know that back in the days you could send the CD to BioWare and they replaced it. I do not know if that is still the case tough.

Did you do a full install?

i dont know if its the same for tob, but i did a full install of SOA, and i still need to have disc 2 in the drive to be able to play the game

BioWare should still be able to replace it. There are also places around who will fix cracked CDs. Try calling a gameshop and ask them if they know of a place that can fix them - it'll cost more money than sending it to Bioware, but it shouldn't take too long.

Thanks guys. I didn't know that Bioware would replace a cracked disk...that's some great customer service! Oh well, I guess I'll just have to wait for my package to arrive if I want to continue this game. I've never tried a NO-CD hack, so I'm a bit leery to try one in the middle of a game.

By the way, yes I did do a full install, but it always requires me to have the TOB disk in to start the game. Same goes for stock SOA installs (disk 2, I think).

Thanks again for the replies!

@parro

Have you tried running the game with the Disc 2 already in your CD-ROM ?
At least for me,the ToB disc is required only if I try to run the game with any other Disc than Disc 2,so maybe it could work for you too.At least it would allow you to finish the SoA part of the game.

Thanks thetruth!! Disk 2 works!! Don't know why I didn't try that before..had a brainfart, I guess.
