</font>
Violence never solves anything, it tends to make matters worse. sadly though, I agree the kids had every right to defend himself, he should have gone about it differently :(

Violence doesn't solve anything, but I'm sure the kid was tired of it. I see kids get picked on at school allt he times and it disgusts me. I think it was pretty cool that the guy decided to make a stand, but I think he did it in a negative way that may get them off his back or may just get him in more trouble. I feel sorry for him and I don't think the video is funny.

It was meant to be funny, it was underneath the "funny videos" section. Just pointing that out, and yeah, it's good he did something back, but like I said, he could've done something else.

Humph, tough call... I hate violence hence why I don't watch hockey. But in this case I think it was better than not doing anything. A kid that would have done nothing would most likely have been a suicide case.

Well the bully had it coming in my opinion. Better sock someone in the face instead of just walking by. And what were other options? Tell a teacher? Sure the bully would be caught and screwed but word would go around the school who squealed on him. And maybe some of the bully's friends wants to get some pay back.

A Canadian who doesn't watch hockey?!?!? Call the homeland security group! Must be an outsider! :D

Only thing worse is starting a thread about something you think is funny, and having a bunch of people wreck it by turning it serious Not that something like THAT ever happens around here...

For the record, I support little guys defending themselves, and advocate for alternatives to violence. I'm reminded of a bit from Road House, with Patrick Swayze:

"I want you to be nice. Someone causes problems, you walk him to the door. You be nice. He won't go, someone else will help you. You both be nice. I want you to be nice... until it's time NOT to be nice."

"How will we know when it's time?"

"I will tell you when it's time."

As a fat kid I had that happen to me a lot.

I took a stand and belted the living crap out of the guy that did it to me. The guy and his friends never bothered me again.

Im not saying that violence is the answer but kids get away with so much now days its good to see some one stand up for them selves and give it back to bullies. Bullies now days have so much power in the school because the teachers have no power over them.

Teachers at school here in australia have almost no powers when it comes to controlling bad students. So its good to see a student getting some back.

Example. This teacfher went out of the class room to take a call. While he was out a troublemaker kid in the class started hitting other students with a padded bat. when the teacher came back into the room the students told him what happened.

So the teacher stood up the student. Got all the kids that he hit up as well and they all got one hit on the bad student with the padded bat.

This teacher is now being dragged through court (its all over now) by the boys mother. The teacher won the case.
