So since the mention new game The Witcher seems to pop out quite frequently here, I was wondering if any of you knew the game is based on the saga written by A. Sapkowski. It's a pentology (is there such a word?) and two "prologue" books.

So did any of you read the Witcher books? I think it would be the best book I've ever read in my life. Read them three times so far.

Haven't tried the English translations, so don't know how good that is.

I really recommend it. And if any of you read it I'd like to hear how good the translation is.

ergh. after searching a little apparently the stories and novels have been translated into Czech, Slovak, German, Russian, Lithuanian, French and Spanish.

The English translation of "The Last Wish", which is the first of the two "prologue" books, is to be published in 2007.
