Ever since I had to reformat my harddrive I hadn't the need for a Zip file utility. But with my new build I need the utilization of a Zip File utility in order to upgrade and flash the BIOS of my new motherboard. Any good, solid freeware out there - that you trust doesn't have ad-ware or malware - or is WinZip about it? Thanks.

Aye i think winzip might be your only option, although winrar might be worth checking out. Not sure if it can handle yer BIOS stuff tho. sure someone here'll know better ;)

I think you are rigth, Madman. I did a search and every freware out there comes "packaged" with advertisement. Epox BIOS updates come in Zip format.

WinRAR is pretty good, it allows you to open both zip and rar files, with little to no ads.

The best and most comprehensive zip programme outside of the command line. And it's free under the GPL so no ads.
