Hmm.. Tuffee.. Jan is very humorous, and is also an Illusionist.. Yoshimo is considered the best Thief in the game, but..

So I would say Jan http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no...iles/smile.gif

In my opinion you gotta play the game at least one with Jan in your party. There are many ways to replace Yoshi but there is no way to replace Jan's humor. Jan has tons of interaction with other characters too which makes him loads of fun. Put him in a party with anomen and keldorn and let the fireworks fly hehe.

Jan is the best thief in the game. Yoshimitsu is not a good thief because he have low skill points distributed etc etc. Jan is much better for his magery skills and awesome thievery skills. Also he can use bow! It's very ideal to take him quickly as you get out of first dungeon to share your xp's with him.

Yo. is one of the best, he has great skill and his traps are very usefull, Jam is just, so annoying!

I would definately go with Jan. The important thieves skills, Pick Locks, Find Traps, Move Silently and Hide in Shadows are pretty much maxed out by 11th-12th level. Even if you're still rubbish at hiding, a simple invisibility spell will more than compensate.

Jans mage spells can be invaluable in the tougher combats later on. Its amazing how useful that extra set of magic missiles can be in a tight spot, never mind the higher level ones. Jan can use pretty much the same weapons as Yoshimo and with bracers of defence has a pretty good AC.

When you consider Yoshimo's act of treachery later - no competition!!

Weren't for his treachery, Yoshimo would be a hell of a backstabber once dualed to a fighter...
So, I go with Jan.

Yep. Yoshi´s treachery sucks a bit, because he is the only true thief in the game. There should be a (non-cheater) way to keep him.

I agree wholeheartedly. He is a damn good thief, but you lose him about halfway through the game (and he is the only character you can't get back in ToB, so he's just gone). Why even bother to add an NPC that has so little presence in the game? IMHO, it would have been better if they left him out, and put in the Twisted Rune and slaver quests instead.
