Baldur's Gate II Spells Reference is a spell guide written by the spell-master Xyx (The "equivalent" for Dundee Slaytern in the BG2 scripting community :D ).
Littiz and I helped Xyx to add the ToB update.

The Reference includes all you ever wanted to know about spells - reviews, strategy, tips, tricks, bugs, scripting information, corrections to the manual, and, of course - smelly cheeeeese. http://members.chello.nl/~j.vanthull.../WinkNudge.gif

Finally, after almost a year of inactivity, it has been updated! http://members.chello.nl/~j.vanthull.../BigGrin04.gif

Additions include Throne of Bhaal spells, High Level Abilities, the evil Endless Spells(TM) strategies and loads of little bits and pieces of info and cheese.

Feedback? Additions? Praise? I'll be right here.

Can you run that one by me again?

I didn't quite get that! What exactly is it?

Didn't quite get what?
It's a spell guide for BG2 players and scripters.

Check it out.

Very nice Alson. Next time I have a party at a high enough level for it to be useful, Ill be reading quite a bit, if not all, of it. Ive never really had a chance to study Magic in the depth it needs, mostly cos Im far to lazy to read PDF manuals (paper ones go missing) or experiment with every single spell.

If and when I finish BG2 with my paladin, I'm gonna go through again with a solo mage and see how that goes...and this guide is gonna be my primary desktop reference.

If I suck at solo maging, I'll direct all the blame to your guide. So the pressure's on. :D

That's odd, I thought I'd already posted my kudos. Must have been some other thread.

This guide is clearly the best I've ever seen; better than GameBanshee's, PlanetBaldursGate's, or mine. The only "problems" I can see with it are:
1) It deals only with SoA--ToB spells.
2) The ways to use the spells (to the point where it practically becomes ABuse) are right out there in front of God and Man. It's a matter of personal taste, I know, but I would let the players figure out the advanced techniques for themselves.....or at least use cryptic wording.

Seriously, this is a great, great, guide. I'll be writing to ask permission to use it as the "Answer Key" to my own Spell Guide: Wherever my guide does not agree with Xyx's, I will assume his is correct.
