Hi all,

I'm posting this again in the sense that I posted it on Stealthy's Forum, but now I/W is up again I'm going to post it here to see if I get any other suggestions. Here is an edited versions of what I said there.
Thanks again to Cloudy and Moiraine you answered/helped on the last posting.

I hate my job here, and quite frankly I can't afford to buy property anywhere near the towns in the U.K that do I.T. stuff (to be more accurate a ground floor flat, that is dark, damp and has poor ventilation in Cambridge will sell for £90,000 thats about $130,000. Therefore I have decided that when my current lease is up, and when I've got a years full experience (later this year) I would like to emigrate. I don't know where I should go though, obviously I need to head somewhere where there are I.T. jobs that I'm qualified for, and somewhere that will accept me. Any thoughts?

Well Simon the cost of living is quite low in the Congo right now! Or did you mean to the US? Ha! I would think you it shouldnt be too hard to find a job here despite the so-called economic slowdown which hasnt affected me. You cant work here on a tourist/student visa though. At least your not supposed to but tell that to central america haha! Being from the UK you might not even need a visa to come here but I'm not sure. We dont have to have one to go the UK. More than likely you would have to have a job before you got here to work though. I work with some mexicans so I can ask what they did. They are actually legal lol.

Thanks, I was considering several places including the US, since my Soldier of Fortune subscription is up I'm ruling out the Congo http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...iles/smile.gif (j/k)

Charlie - I still have nightmares about being crucshed to death in a tube train, does that count?

Caleb - 0207 / 0208 you were talking about Standard Telephone Dialing codes (std code) weren't you http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...es/biggrin.gif

Yeah, the tubes close enough. http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...iles/smile.gif
One of my worst experiences was having the life crushed from me on a tube train.
Palace VS Man Utd FA cup final, packed in like sardines on a baking day. People were fainting and crying on that train. Avoid London then. How about Oldham?...err maybe not.
