I've got the astrolabe whirling, but now Larrel won't talk to me. Did I miss something?

I had the controls working, then I had to have the heartstone gem in hand(no use talking to him if I did not,) then He started waking up...my game paused, unpaused, paused, unpaused and he mumblede something about collecting his thoughts, then I was able to ask him some leading questions that were choosy, and would either get my quest done, or learn of the history of the slaughter of his people.

Hi Larry, many thanks for your answer. I approached Larrel with the heartstone in my backpack, but no answer from Larrel. Any ideas?
