I decided to merge some of the very slow Forums as I said I was probably going to do--it'll help your posts get more attention too! :)
I have merged all of Current Events into General Conversation. Same rules apply on hot topics here, as in the old CE. Simply be cool to one another. To those that avoid CE, it's cooled down a LOT in the last year. ;)

I took The MMORPG Forum and merged it into the
Miscellaneous Games (RPG or not)


The Books & Comics and Reality TV Shows forums were combined and moved to
Entertainment (Movies, TV Shows and Books/Comics)


Closed the Travian Forum.

Many more changes will be seen as the weekend goes by. New Avatars as well as changed Artwork, NEW Forums, Forum Software upgrades and new Forum features are coming! I'll keep you posted here in Gen Con as the changes take place! (Some of the actual Forum software upgrades will come after the weekend maybe)

Hmm, what about re-issuing the same Avatar again at a higher post count? But make the image neater somehow.. or gold.. I'd only do...say... a handful that people voted as their faves.

What are your personal favorite Avatars from whats available so far?

BTW, 'Stoned' Golem *IS* going to be a legit Avatar in this update! :)

I like having Drizzt in there, but I would go with a new pic. And make it a much higher level. He should be later that Artemis.
Jarlaxle would be great too.

I liked the Drow Priestess, Drow Warrior, I thought the Dragons were fine. Maybe have some colored and some Chromatic ones.

I would get rid of the ones different stars and use an actual pic instead.

Elminster was good. Maybe some Dragonlance characters, like Tanis, Flint, Fizban etc.

I think Ben from Lost needs a place here as well.

Some of the Marvel and DC heroes would be welcome also.

Lord Soth was definitely my fav.

To me, I don't really care what rank goes where, or who is more powerful than the other, as long as they are cool looking :P

I loved making the DM Dice.. Animated! Oooooooh yeah! :) And maybe have a d100 at the end roll by, slamming all the others into the air.. LOL! hahaha something animated though would indeed be cool.

(And the other ideas are great too! every avatar you all mentioned I also love, so I'll take a bunch of those faves and emboss them gold, or give them some special change--maybe larger, higher res, more close-up etc.. or animated too!

Gonna be fun!
(The weekend title changed to 'next few weeks', as I've got a LOT more to add besides Avatars--I decided to do some major changes) as well as eventually redo the frontpage of ironworksforum.com, and make new inserts for the index like the UBB had for the main page. Add things like this page has:

But I won't insert the forum's into the middle like they do--will make like news and stuff for the middle--with top 10 posters or top 20 threads --something like that.. And have polls. It'll take some time, but I think it'd rock.

I made many of them, the other I edited heavily and cleaned up--found from different sources. (Making them have transparent backgrounds).

I think Zartan was a character from G.I. Joes, but it's been ages since I've seen the originals, so I don't know.

And yes Jack Burton is played by Kurt Russel. He drives the Porkchop Express.

Hell yes! It's one of my faves for sure! Seen it tons of times.. loved when they went underground, and ended up in that water grave area.. so scary (I was younger then). But scary in a cool way. ('The three storms' --fighters were awesome too) :)

Another underrated 'B' Movie is Maximum Overdrive!! LOVED that as a kid.. scary as hell.. (kinda silly now, but still fun to watch, and AC/DC did the entire soundtrack!) I remember 'Night of the Comet' too.. lol..

I would personally like it about 1/4 shorter than the new height. It's a little too big imo. Or, even better, an option to the right-hand side to enlarge/reduce and "set this size as my default". Options!
