Can Imoen act as a servicable thief later on in BG2 or are the traps and
chests too tough for her to unlock, making her just a bag of pucks when it comes to thievery (Translation for non-hockey fans... does she suck!)? I want to ditch Yoshimo eventually
and don't want to take Jan.

She´ll do fine...but if you play multi....with all six chars you´ll be better of with a thief of your own since she´ll raise a lot faster during the game, and she´ll be better in the end....the best lvl. to dual is about 12 and Imoen is already dualled before 10th

Traps and lockpicking ok. Her Hide&Stealth mode is lousy even with enhancing items. If you want her to be your invisible spy take lots of potions with you.

She's a fine thief. She can cast "Invisibility" on herself and find & disarm traps without turning visible. Don't have her open any boxes, though... that'll turn her visible. As long as you don't have her engage enemies, she can remain invisible for quite a while, finding traps & scouting.
