<span style="color: lightblue">The New(ish) G5 iMac - does it have PCI ports like a PC, or does it take different (apple-only) cards?

I think it works much like a console, that all is integrated, but to an extent. Apple hardware can be removed and replaced in Apple shops and the like. I don't even think it's card based, maybe a specific kind of port or something.. But I know next to nothing of Apple hardware, this is just bits and pieces I've put together in my head. I really gotta get my hands on an Apple in the near future...

I don't think there'd be much expanablity options in a machine like that..

Appart from that size of any expasion cards would be an issue as much as compatablity..

You'll note the tech specs mention nothing about PCI slots so no would be my guess..

That things 2 inches thick. After you subtract the thickness of the display, and the motherboards, you dont have room for a daughterboard to carry a PCI slot parrallel to the motherboard.

Expandabiity will be through the USB and FireWire ports.
