There are lots of 'add-ons' to UBB, one of which is called 'Who's Online'. It'll tell you who is logged in and is posting.

Another, is how many times a thread is visited (like a counter).

Another - Avatars (Images) right under your Username (see left area).

Lots of Ideas..

Also, when you type, would you like the box where you type wider? I feel it's too small.

Let me know,

Ziroc

Ziroc, who's online sounds really good - most people who have struck up friendships with others would appreciate that!

The avatars are also a good idea, but the sigs are already there. Would that slow the UBB down?

The box is too small, I just thought all UBBs were like that.

All sound good, in the above order!

Ziroc - great job. 'Who's online' would be great. Just out of interest I notice that there is an icon for 'Thread closed - no new replies accepted' - will you be using this and if so what criteria would you use to close a thread?

Where/how did you see that icon?

I would only use it if someone started a flame war or something like that. the old forum had a 'close thread' option, and I never used it once.

It's on the front page of each forum in the bottom left hand corner.

Donut, I think that's standard issue on UBB forums. I can't ever remember any mod or administrator that deliberately closed a thread - usually the thread just gets turfed in the event of a troll/flame war.

Gray Mage, the board allows you to use HTML source code. To change color you use the following syntax, replacing the () with <>

(font color="red")Gray Mage is COOL!(/font)

to get

<font color="red">Gray Mage is COOL!</font>

All HTML commands follow the <> bracket and the </> to indicate the end of the command.

Just don't post any music, ok? http://www.tgeweb.com/ironworks/cgi-...gi/redface.gif
