duh, how do you use the special abilities of items/ weapons- jaheira has +2staff of air, how do i use the make stinky cloud ability? same for the earth elemental ring, etc, amulet of power i got from the thief guild. duh, thanks so sorry to double up, i thought my aol crash on the first one had resulted in it not being posted. thank you ertai for your prompt help

amulet of power doesnt have special abilities. The effects it has are permanent (check the icons in your character´s portrait or either look in the character screen). The items that you have to activate are the items that have special abilities that use 1 charge when used (for example the staff of the air). They are accesible through the bag icon as i told you.
