No, I'm not talking about teenagers, I'm talking about Cicadas...I don't like the darn things. They sit up in the trees, all day long, making this terrible, 60 decibel noise (sometimes louder). For background, northern Kentucky has seventeen-year Cicadas...they sit in the ground for 17 years, and then hatch, come up, make noise, mate, lay eggs, and die, all within the space of maybe a month....

You mean you really weren't talking about teenagers? :D

Don't forget the nasty moltings they leave all over the trees. Or is that just the Pennsylvanian variety?

I fixed that...and yes, they leave their shells, I'm pretty sure...ugh...the noise is enough...I can hear them right now...like a constant "sh" sound, and at a high enough frequency that they prove REALLY annoying...if I can, I'll get a recording for you all...

Oh, heard about them, supposed to be swarms of them all over the lower states. My mom told me about them, how they pretty much covered everything, with themselves or their shells.

I heard pretty much the same complaints about me and my friends when I was growing up... :D

Ilander that is too funny. Like I said some where before. Come to Canada the extreme cold kills everything. But the downside is frostbite. :D

I saw Late night Show with David Letterman recently were he had a "Insect expert" that had made some dishes out of the shells, David said they tasted like Walnuts... [img]smile.gif[/img]
