is Nalia able to cast level 9 spells? she only has 17 intelligence.
|
All NPC Mages are capable of casting level 9 and level 10 spells, you however on the other hand, must have 18 INT.
Unfair isn't it. ;) |
thanks!

Are you sure? I tried to have Imoen (Int.17) learn Power Word, Kill and the "Write Magic" button wasn't there. It was the same for Time Stop and Wail of the Banshee. She didn't know any 9th level spells. I tried at various levels too (from lvl. 14 or so up until 16).

had that too, just drink a potion of intelligence and scribe it. I think he means that once you have it scribed, you can learn it.
right? |
If you only have SoA, the game will not allow you to scribe level 9 spells, even for your PC character. If you install ToB however, heh, heh, scribe away, scribe away.
|
I see.... I need ToB then. Makes sense (lvl. 17 being the cap).
|
Im not so sure about that ToB thing since my Necromancer was able to write 9th level spells without any trouble. And later on I used exp. cap remover to cast 9th level spells, which kick ass. Irenicus didn't have a chance!
|
Hmmmm... I do know that with ToB installed, it is confirmed that Jan/Imoen/Nalia can scribe level 9 spells, despite their lower than 18 INT.
|
I agree. I know that my Mage (INT=18) was able to scribe Freedom w/o ToB while only 15th Level. Keldorn's Order rules!
