After days of research I've compiled my own list of famous aethists.
Elmer Fudd
the Roadrunner
Joseph Stalin
Madyln Murray OHare
Tasmanian Devil
Albert Magus
Bugs Bunny

The list isn't important. Being right isn't solved by a vote, a popularity contest, or how many "famous" people endorse a position.

I believe that the roadrunner is polytheist, not atheist. If you look closely enough, you'll see he/she wears Nike-brand shoes, also the Greek goddess of victory. :D

I'll give you the Tasmanian Devil, but you leave Bugs Bunny out of this. What he went through with McCarthy in the 50s was enough!

You're right, either side of any argument can pull out an impressive list of "see who's on this side" and "see who's on that side", but the "who's who" lists mean nothing because they have nothing to do with the issues.

I didn't see Marks post as being a "Atheism is the right way because these people said so" type of post. I thought he was just illustrating that there were some good well known and popular Atheists, I think at the time he also thought I had said that people cannot trust an atheist (which was a mistake since cleared up).
