So I keep hearing everyone talking about multi-player and creating their own party. Is it possible to play through the game single player but in multiplayer mode? And if it is what happens with all the NPC quests as they build the story around the game such as Imoen's quest. Are there any down falls? And how would i proceed in a game such as this?

goto multiplay and create your party
Be sure to save the game and move that save game from mpsave map in BG2 to save map in BG2
and you got yourself a singel multiplayer game
advantages are that you can create all the character and thus have the party of your chois
disadvatage is not being able to do NPC-quest
Imoens quest stays and but you just kick her out when you freed her
Some people takle the middle road, make only 4 characters or 5 and one slot open to pick op NPC's
I personally like Single-Multiplayer very much as i always want to play classes that the NPC's can;t provide (Totemic Druid, Archer that kinda stuff) in one party

I agree. I have done multiplayer with just two characters however. That way you can keep the NPC's you like(In my case Minsc, Nalia, and Imoen) and still have an extra "slot" for NPC quests, romances, etc. Plus, the opportunities for cheese are unlimited. Suffice it to say, if you have an item in ANY multiplayer game, you can have it any other, IN ANY QUANTITY. Think about it

Wicked..I loved Icewind Dale because of the number of players you could create but this is gonna be even better. Thanks for all the help.
