i like the bg2 sounds (for characters) a lot better and i was wondering where there was somewhere i could download the soundset from

Yeah, try here http://www.sorcerers.net/Games/BG2/index_editors.htm. Btw, I noticed they had posted that Sorcerers Place is supposed to be moving today. But I'm sure if you just go to www.sorcerers.net you'll be redirected to the new location and look under Games; Baldur's Gate II; Editors/Custom Items/Hacks/etc.
