Hey guys,

Do y'all know where I can download some additional fonts for MS Word? You know, like something Medeival looking, or some silly characters, that sort of thing? Thanks

just google for the font you want, say if you want the elvish fonts, type in elvish fonts, and you will not miss it, just make sure it is true type, or else it might now work on some programs.

Yep, Google search should provide plenty, as Stormy said. Paste them into C:\WINDOWS\Fonts - I think if you use Windows Xp, it is not possible to paste into that folder, so you'll have to put it into a zip file and tell it to unzip into that directory.

Ok, that's great. But there are probably fonts out there that are really nice which I don't even know the names to. How do I search those?

Is there a site from which they can be taken? And I do have XP. Can I put them into Wordperfect?

And if you want more, just google "TrueType fonts" or something like that.

Ok, I downloaded and installed the thing, but how do I use it in my word processor?

Just copy and past it C:\WINDOWS\Fonts. Then it should appear with the rest of them. If not, go to C:\WINDOWS\Fonts, and open the font you just downloaded. Then close it and try again.

I've found fonts only appear sometimes if you open them first.

Ok, I got a few good ones. I find original the ones you get, even though they have different names, look the name!?
