As somebody sat down in a cinema they felt a sharp pain. They stood up and found a pin on their seat, attached to a chit of paper bearing the message 'welcome to the world of aids'.
Probably not true, but still intresting. |
jeeez, that is sad, some people will do anything for kicks, I REALLY hope that was just a joke...
Hmmm, what a crucible of emotion such a scenario would be. Regardless of whether this is just another urban legend or not, it makes one think. Your whole life, irrevocably changed, by a purely chance event.
Was it just a pin or a Ceringe? If the virues is just on the end of a pin it will die in less that 1 second. It can't live in air. So it would have had to been in a Ceringe and injected as he sat down.
Yeah... I agree... the HIVirus can't survive in air for long at all.

Sit back & enjoy your movie -- Snopes says it's not true: www.snopes.com/horrors/madmen/pinprick.htm
From the article: "The important news first -- this isn't happening. No such attacks on moviegoers have been reported in Bombay, Hawaii, Dallas, Paris, or anywhere else in the world. (A Louisiana man did sit on a needle in theatre in Baton Rouge in December, 1996, and sued the facility over this, but there was no note welcoming him to the world of AIDS or any indication of his contracting any infection.)" |
Yup, an urban legend. That's the fifth version i've heard.
Jees, that really would suck if it did happen. /me looks out when sitting on chairs now!
Old urban legend. A varient is "You got HIV now".
It may be not true but it sure make a little worried there.
