It is mainly used as a character inventory editor, but you can also monkey with the character's stats (but then, what's the point? Unless you enjoy playing demi-gods!)

Shadow Keeper is a program which allows you to cheat in BG2. You can, for instance summon lost items, or items you really want to have, but can't get anymore. Or items you REALLY need..
