Hi pplz!
In my new game of SoA with my Ranger/Cleric that i plan to imort into ToB when i get it, something weird happened. In the Drow city, when Phaere asks you to sleep with her and you get experience beforehand, Valygar gained a level. Now, i rejected her offer cause i am in a romance of Jaheira, and when i leveled up Valygar, i noticed something astonishing!
When i saw what he had gained for that level, one of the things said
THAC0 reduced by 3!
Now i have never seen that happen before and i was wondering if anyone else has and if the could shed some light onto the matter.

Don't worry it isn't a bug ..... just something that comes w/ gaining levels ... I forget exactly what it does but perhaps someone else could help w/ that ....

I know what THAC0 does and what it's purposes are, but the question i was trying to raise was that why did it reduce by 3 in only 1 single level up.
I havre only seen it reduce by 1!

This is no bug, it happens quite often that THAC0 is reduced by 2 or 3 when leveling up.

not following D&D rules it doesn't- the fighter classes get -1 per level, other classes get -1 every two or three levels. Your base THACO should never go down by more than 1 per level.
